Day 1: Baku
Welcome to Azerbaijan, the country where there is bustling energy from any location and the people living there! Today you are taken from the airport of Baku. The route is made to the capital of the country, located literally on the shore of the Caspian Sea. Here starts the tour along old and new parts of the city. But first we are glad to show the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, as this place shows us completely modern views. It was created by the architect Zaha Hadid. He tried to show unique lines of the building. Then the trip is made to Aliyev center, being the most visited and famous place of the city. Night is taken in the hotel after the stroll along the city Baku.
Day 2: Baku
We would like to continue the way along the old part of Baku, and for this the group goes to the Icheri Sheher area. To get there it is important to stroll to the very center of the city. It seems to be unique, due to the idea of being surrounded by the walls of the citadel. Along the way, visitors have a visit of the Market Square, Juma Mosque, Synyk Gala Castle, Caravanserais, baths, Maiden Tower of the XII century, residential buildings and the Palace of Shirvan Shakhov. For the following site, tourists find great appreciation, and this is the famous Workshop of Ali Shamsi. While walking along this part of the city, the old one, you can witness sites of historical significance, being also the UNESCO historical heritage locations. You have lunch then, and have a chance to walk along the night city. Hotel is prepared for the night.
Day 3: Baku - Gobustan - Baku
Be the guest of Azerbaijan and you will surely be amazed by the historical site Bibi-Heybat complex. It is identified as the location with the mosque and graves, tombs. Right here, the successor of the Prophet Muhammad, famous Ukeima khanum is buried. During the trip here, guests have a deal with the outing to Gobustan Reserve of rock carvings. Here there is an expedition presenting about 6,000 rocks of 30,000 years old. Later on, the route is organized in 10 km from the city Gobustan, to the very active volcanoes of Absheron. You are going to return to Baku then, and have a visit the Carpet Museum, containing about 10,000 items. Here visitors view the 14th century ceramics, metal and bronze jewelry, metal, with the 17th-20th centuries carpets and rugs and of course such items as gold and silver jewelry, national clothing and embroidery. Day 4: Baku - Lankaran (Girkansky reserve) - Baku
Our team has decided to show the site of the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, the famed Hirkan Nature Reserve. It is famous for the climate, the transit zone, getting from moist to dry subtropics. At the same time, as the route is made here, guests will be able to view boxwood, ironwood, velvet maple, giant figs, silk acacia and about 1900 species of plants, with 160 items finding home in the Talysh mountains. Then walking further, you can find rich fauna. It shows us leopard, the Caucasian lynx, the stone marten, the porcupine, the Talysh spotted woodpecker, the Iranian robin, the Persian snake. As dinner is served in the restaurant, it is possible to order dance ensemble Nyanyalar (Grandmothers), paying extra money. For the night guests take a way to the hotel.
Day 5: Baku - Shemakha - Gabala - Sheki
We are in the capital of Azerbaijan and today after breakfast the trip is made to Shamakha. For the location to be seen here, we would like to offer the vertical wall of Sheikh Diri Baba's mausoleum, being carved. Then the way is organized to the Maraza village. Here guests can notice symbolism of geometric shapes and mystic. For the next point, the trip is made to Shamakhi. This city was chosen due to rich past times. Guests have a chance to visit the Juma Mosque, with then starting for Gabala. It is well-known for the Albanian church and Udins living there. The latter ones identify to be the unity of the 26 Albanian tribes. In the past these tribes created the Albanian state of about III century BC - VII century AD. At the same time, these tribes created the descendants of the Azerbaijani people today. In the Aspi Winery guests have lunch and wine to try, and then they take a route to Sheki, where dinner is offered with national Mugam music. Night is prepared for guests in the hotel.
Day 6: Sheki - Baku
There are many wonderful cities and locations in the whole country, and for seeing the other peculiar location we get to the height of 700 m above sea level, the location staying inside the mountains of oak forests. Later one the trip is organized to the Shebeke workshop, where the way of how to cook Sheki Halva can be seen. For the next destination we have chosen Caucasian village Kish, used to be the local khanate in the past. At the same time lunch is offered in the Sheki Ipek Silk Mill. During the trip guests can find out of the main pride of the locals of Sheki and the whole country, silk headscarf kelagai. This scarf is in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. Hotel in Baku is prepared for night.
Day 7: Baku - Absheron Peninsula - Baku
Today the Historical and Archaeological Museum is going to be visited. It is located in one of the most ancient village settlements of the Bronze Age, Gala. Here there is the open museum with various site of archaeological meaning of the 5th century fort. Then guest take the tour to the Ateshgah Temple of Fire Worshipers where eternal flame is always burning. Further the trip is organized to Yanardag - Burning Mountain with then returning to Baku. Here bazaar can be visited, and then night is offered in the hotel.
Day 8: Baku - AirportToday we have managed breakfast in a hotel and airport transfer.
